Today in Lviv, together with our General Counsel Glenn Kolleeny, we met with the Deputy Mayor of Lviv, Oleksandr Kulepin (second from the left in the photo), and presented Happy Nordic Living Oy’s reconstruction plans for Ukraine as part of our ongoing regional assessment and market study phase in Western Ukraine.

The Lviv regional administration plays a key role in coordinating cooperation between municipalities across the region. This meeting provided us with highly valuable practical insights into:
– the governance model of municipalities in the Lviv region and their actual housing needs
– the readiness and willingness of municipalities to cooperate with foreign investors

The discussion reinforced our understanding that there is a significant need for scalable, fast, and standardised housing solutions – and that municipalities have a genuine interest in finding partners capable of delivering projects at an industrial scale.

We were also joined by Artem Mazur, CEO and co-founder of Kids of Ukraine Foundation, which is doing highly valuable work supporting children affected by the war across four locations in Western Ukraine.

This meeting was an important step forward in the preparation of HNL – helping us to better define local demand, partnership models, and the pathway towards pilot projects. We will continue our dialogue with municipalities in the region and deepen cooperation, with the aim of finalising the overall concept and launching the first reference projects.
