A delegation of Happy Nordic Living Oy met in Kyiv with the leadership of the Kyiv Regional State Administration and Governor Mykola Kalashnyk. The meeting focused on opportunities to launch a Finnish-led industrial timber construction investment and a pilot HNL Village residential development project in Ukraine.

The main topics of discussion included:

• potential land plots for a timber element factory and pilot residential development in the Kyiv region
• the role of industrial timber and modular construction in Ukraine’s reconstruction
• the investment environment and regional cooperation with international investors
• long-term employment, industrial development, and tax revenue impacts for the region

Happy Nordic Living’s objective is to develop a modern construction and area development platform in Ukraine based on local timber resources, industrial production, energy-efficient housing, and Nordic community-oriented planning principles.

The meeting was held in a constructive and investor-friendly atmosphere. The Kyiv Regional Administration expressed its willingness to support the identification of suitable factory and pilot development locations and to continue further cooperation discussions.

To support the continuation of the process, Happy Nordic Living and the Governor’s team also established a dedicated follow-up working group to facilitate practical communication, evaluate potential locations, and ensure efficient coordination and progress of the next development steps.
