On 10 December 2025, representatives of Happy Nordic Living Oy (HNL) visited municipalities in the Kyiv region and held an official meeting at Bucha City Hall with the Mayor of Bucha, Mr. Anatolii Fedoruk, and key members of the city administration.

The delegation was received warmly, and the meeting was conducted in an open and constructive spirit. Both sides presented their current activities, priorities, and perspectives related to Ukraine’s reconstruction and long-term urban development.

During the meeting, HNL introduced its ongoing market and feasibility studies related to industrialized housing solutions in Ukraine. These studies focus on assessing the potential for:

  • establishing a timber-based prefabricated housing element factory, and
  • developing industrial-scale, energy-efficient multi-storey residential construction in selected locations.

HNL also shared that its investment concept has passed an initial EU eligibility screening, and that the project remains in a preparatory phase, where technical, financial, and market assumptions are still being developed before any potential next steps related to financing discussions.

Mayor Fedoruk described Bucha’s active cooperation with international financial institutions, including the EBRD, as well as close coordination with Ukrainian state authorities in the city’s reconstruction efforts. These initiatives aim to strengthen regional resilience, accelerate recovery, and increase the availability of affordable and social housing.

In this context, the Mayor welcomed HNL to follow and potentially participate in future social housing tenders, and presented several industrial parks in the Bucha area as possible locations for future industrial activities, subject to further evaluation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Mayor Fedoruk accompanied the delegation on a visit to local industrial park areas, providing an overview of available sites and infrastructure.

The visit represents an early step in mutual familiarisation and dialogue between Happy Nordic Living and the City of Bucha. HNL will continue its analytical and preparatory work and looks forward to maintaining contact with Bucha as part of its broader engagement with Ukrainian municipalities.her.
